With the LAN blues finally subsiding, the classic rivals of North American TF2 collide once again in the online stage. The last time we saw froyotech and Ascent duke it out in the Regular Season, froyotech were able to easily overthrow Ascent 5-1 on Process. While froyotech's been cruising undefeated for the past two seasons, Ascent's roster has struggled in the past, with multiple roster changes, internal turbulence, and upsets from teams such as SVIFT NA. With paddie stepping down and Ma3laa back on the home plate, can Ascent stabilise themselves and reclaim their former glory? Or will froyotech's reign remain unchallenged for yet another season? Technically if Ascent won this, they could still get Second going into playoffs if they have more Rounds For than Svift does (which they currently do now) but yeah that doesn't really matter seeing as 2nd and 3rd play each other anyway.

SVIFT swept Ascent 2-0 during the regular season so even if their records and rounds were the same they'd be given the higher seed. Playoff seedings also matter a little more now since they gave us pick / ban for maps, but only by a small amount. In the past it really didn't matter who got 2nd or 3rd seed since the maps were always predetermined.
