As I already explained, I reached out to them and described what it would take to convince me. He played along for a day or so then backtracked and disregarded it. I'm glad you brought up the fact that both you and pete changed your ESEA aliases and made sure that your aliases were recognizable across the board. Since you were obviously interested in the reimbursement offer, maybe you can vouch for how much of an obvious and easy choice it was to change your ESEA name instead of risking not making playoffs with an unrecognizable alias and losing eligibility for the offer.

But where did you put those guidelines though? I've read through your post multiple times and I didn't see you say anything other than use the "proper aliases used in every match" rule. You don't once say, at least in this post, what a proper alias IS, or anything about using it outside of matches.

When I registered for the first essentials monthly cup, I specifically remember being asked to change the name phlps to Happycool on the roster by Happycool, as that was going to be his alias from then on. You can’t say that he didn’t make an effort to make Happycool his new alias because he definitely did, even outside of the initial requirements (pugchamp, ESEA name).

This is bullshit. Phlps didn't break any of the rules so their team shouldn't be punished. Honestly, every team that is planning to play next season shouldn't play until his team gets paid.

After reading through all this and past threads to get a proper understand, I just want to say that it is possible for both sides to be correct. You don't always have to have 1 side wrong and the other side correct.
b4nny had every right to deny payments based on his rules. (its his money and his deal) That said, he is being a douche over a technicality.
phlps had a small price to pay to get a full reimbursement. He made his own poor decision not to abide by the guidelines regardless of how technically he broke the rule. That said, he has had that alias for a long ass time so why give a fuck IMO.
I have a solution:
@b4nny -- honor your word and pay the other 5 members of the team who listened to your rules and got denied because of a questionable technicality. If you do that, I'll reimburse phlps myself and then you can run this again next season with a clean slate.
