The reason the pistol is essential is because if you're beefing your scattergun shots you can use the automatic pistol to track your enemies and have more wiggle room to miss.
Your idea just gives more room to beef with the primary.

pretty much nobody likes playing against snipers but something completely accurate that you can spam a lot would need to get the treatment heavy gets against scoped snipers, at mid+ range make it so normal and scoped viewkick isnt a thing for it

it wouldnt be better thats the point of the thread itll just make sense. if u aim any wep in any fps game properly it should hit
and also most scouts hit 3/4 pistol anyway right now and wat is being suggested in this thread is basically a nerf because they would lose that damage they are already doing for acc they dont need

Multiply damage by current average pistol damage divided by (average bodyshot damage*%average bodyshot hit rate+average headshot damage*%average headshot hit rate). Use revolvers or whatever to get accuracy figures.
Of course it will only be balanced for the playerbase used to determine accuracy. But that's the point of making it accurate right?

60 damage is like 3 shots with pistol right now thats underpowered. u should be able to kill a scout in a clip
problem is pistol is used after dumping ur scattergun clip. if ur not a shitter at scout (which i am lol) then you shouldn't need to hit someone for much more than half their health after shooting ur 6 scatter shots. 60 should be plenty to finish off someone.
if u give pistol perfect accuracy, after 1 clip your scout fight is over.

this thread is almost as pointless as the nerf pyro threads that pop up every other month, if not every month
valve's not going to do anything that isn't absolute garbage (granted 100% accuracy pistol fits neatly into that category)

I just wish the pistol was improved just enough for it to be more reliable rng-wise, and whatever change to make it a bit more fair alternative for winger. Winger just gives you highgrounds for free making it even more aids for sollies/demos, since I assume we'll keep winger's highground bonuses, it would then be fair to buff pistol be better at damaging/rewarding good track.
