Im a pretty functional person irl but hanging out with people online has been a passtime of mine for well over a decade. As a kid, I played mmos, I used to go on Omegle before it was just bots and sex, tinychat as well back when that was a thing. In highschool/early uni I was in a few Kik group chats (also just desperate dudes looking for girls now). I used to like funnyjunk but it's turned into an alt right incel weeb hangout. Yesterday, I was bored enough to try 4chan but its also either really specific hobbies/interests that I don't have, random porn or random weeb/self pity stuff. Tftv has alright people but understandably, there aren't really any threads that aren't tf2 related or shitposts
Point is, I don't know where to go. I'm looking for a platform/community with relatively normal people with normal lives where you can talk about random crap a couple times a week when im bored. Any advice?

mmos like especially retail WoW are really bad nowadays, no one even talks (unless you rp?). I remember when there was nice communities, some private servers still have that and maybe classic wow when it comes out even tho ur probly not into that kind of thing anymore.

if tinychat used to be your thing there are definitely discord groups with the same vibe. i've been talking to the same group of people for 5+ years and we migrated to discord. find friends irl who are woke and sit on their pcs lol
