Yeah, mixchamp was a hopping place for low open NA pugs for a while. I think that spot has been pretty much taken by Faceit beginner/amateur at the moment.
However, with that being said, Faceit still lacks class picking, so...

Owenhopefully faceit just gets class picking added

It’s never going to happen most likely faceit doesn’t care about tf2 enough to make it happen

what is with this victim complex?? we know very very little about how faceit thinks about tf2. we can assume that we're probably not super high on their priority list since we're not an enormous game, but we haven't been dealing with them long enough to know whether theyre just gonna leave us out to dry or not. its not like esea where it's been proven over the course of years that they don't give a fuck. even pugchamp, with a small team of devs that undoubtedly care about the game outside of its ability to make money, has taken years to implement something as simple as elo. tf2pl by comparison has only been out 3 months. seems p reasonable to wait at least several more months for a total system revamp.

I personally have 500 something pugs, it used to be really fun.
Compared to the current state of beginner, I would say Mixchamp is a better alternative for new players. It personally helped me a lot as I transitioned from tf2center to pugchamp and taught me to play multiple classes so I wouldn't get fatkidded. It would be nice to see it revived.
