how can any1 expect this game to grow when if u wanna get into it u have to give up all your weeknights? im guessing way more people would be into competitive tf2 if people only scrimmed a couple nights a week. This would allow so many more people to participate and would also encourage people to spend off nights reviewing demos and dm'ing instead of playing whatever map for a week straight until ur team's central AI has ran enough simulations and brute force calculations for it to develop a midfight strategy. what really helped smash grow imo is that you can play as much or as little as you want but can still play seriously. tf2 isnt really like that. you can either be a puglord/back up, or you have to scrim 5 nights a week for 2 hours at a time. tf2 is too small to play for any reason other than fun and the competitive scene would be much better off if its culture reflected that instead of taking itself super seriously in a desperate attempt to make people who dont care about the game think its a serious thing.

what will we do with all of our free time since we wont be scrimming so often?
