Tonight marks the first semifinal match of ESEA Intermediate playoffs, matching up Sporadic eSports against defending IM champions mr_popo_rocks. John Milter's band of merry men come into this game looking to keep up their fantastic IM spree, playing almost lossless for the past 2 seasons, dropping only one map apiece in their quest to dominate the middle ESEA division.

During the regular season, they made quick work of Sporadic in a 5-0 30 minute blowout on cp_sunshine. Sporadic eSports are still a force to be reckoned with, though. They have kept the same solid core of players since Season 26 and made a deep playoffs run last season, losing to eventual Invite moveups OMNI5 ESports in the semifinals. With former invite players trip and fygg joining onto the roster, the matchup looks even closer than before. Tonight's matchup will be a test of their team's synergy and strength as they attempt to stun the defending titleholders and secure a spot in this season's Intermediate grand final.
