Then, I found out that TLR stood for tyler and I thought that I was being kind of unoriginal so I chose something that sounded kind of similar (and I had just watched Kingsmen and was fuckin stoked). I also added tf to the end for some reason.

I was making a mountain bike trail in my backyard. Saw that popular trails like the ones in Whistler, BC had names like Dirt Merchant. I thought 'what if someone crashed so many times they got a rash from the dirt?' If anyone asks in a pub I just say that I am also trash at this game.

At least in this country its common to add -zy to a last name to create a nickname, this combined with having multiple friends sharing my first name since an early age meant that this nickname stuck really hard.
