What is Repfam, Taobao, Superbuy? What does 'a bunch of manufacturer' mean? I saw TF2 in the title, wouldn't guess we are talking about clothes

Taobao is like a chinese ebay, Superbuy is a middleman agent that speaks english and helps you translate and convert the currency, they also act a middleman that ships the items to you. Manufacturer are a bunch of chinese man that have their own factories and make the shoes / item you want. Repfam = replica family.
They use the same material as retail but they dont mark it up. Really interesting industry.

There is different replicas for watches, sneakers and clothes.
To make it simple if you can buy a fake AP for like 350$ but it emulates the same mouvement as the retail version and it has the same material and engraving etc. A fake AP you can buy for maybe 20-50$ will have a random quartz mouvement and will be made of cheap steel. Both fakes and replica are in the same spectrum I guess but replica are more true to the real deal when fake is a blatant rip-off. This is my opinion on it tho. All in all to me if the Yeezy 350 v2 I buy has the same primeknit and mold as factories I consider it a replica and not a "fake". Also it is extremely frowned upon to try and pass replica as retail (they are very close to being 1 to 1) and there is special forums where people sell replica as replica. The replica community is always looking at website like grailed and reporting the scum trying to sell replica as real.
Anymore questions i'm open for it!

i mean at that point why not jusr personalise it and make it your own watch instead of trying to make the closest 1:1 replica
the watch thing sounds cool but this would be a lot cooler if it was primarily based on emulating old, interesting and intricate garments, qhich is what the fashion world is obsessed with today considering there's barely anything worth buying nowadays, instead of yeezys and box logos.

There is that aspect of it. I personally bought off-white presto all white replica for 100$ and I'm going to custom dye them. There is old garments replica. Pretty much everything

To me it's to save money. I dont have the 700$ for retail balenciaga or other expensive brands. If u wanna buy retail and u wanna flex retail more power to you. The only things I pay retail for is jewelry and sometimes watches.
I also buy like 4 pairs of adidas joggers for the gym and some adidas shirts from the secret stores (stores that dont display any images, they only display codes to the items to minimize the chance of their store being taken down) and I pay 5-10$ for each shirt of pair of pants. I've been buying reps for a while so maybe I have a different mindset.

It's not illegal to knowingly buy replica items. It is illegal to resell replica items as real

I'm not here to argue with anyone or debate. I just buy clothes I think look nice and even basic beater shoes like vans for 10$ because it's cheaper. It's a super polarising topic and tf2 probably isn't filled with people that are into it. I'm happy some people did add me tho to talk about it since they were curious. Anyway I'm gonna lurk a bit and reply to any genuine question about the topic if anything pops up

buying replicas of hype shit literally equates to faking your wealth to show off to other people... its fucking embarassing.

There is different people in the community. Not everyone wears BOGO and Yeezy and tells other it's real but there is certainly many people afraid of getting called out on their fake shit and other that flex with it. I agree with you
