With ETF2L nearing its next season, Faint Gaming EU have updated their roster accordingly, bringing in Corbac, formerly of Ascent.EU, to replace Samski on the role of Roaming Soldier.

Faint Gaming come off a 5-6th finish at Insomnia63, where they most notably managed to take a map off Se7en in the winners bracket. With a spot in Premiership guaranteed by their victory in Division 1 in Season 30, Faint Gaming EU look to make their way to the playoffs this season in the new division.

Corbac was first seen in Prem back when top5rocket finally qualified after numerous attempts to win High and guarantee a Premiership placement in Season 25. He has since been described as one of the most talented soldiers in Premiership, due to being able to play the Pocket and Roaming Soldier interchangably. His most notable achievements include a 3rd place finish in Season 26, as well as a 2nd place finish in Season 28.

We got in touch with counou, who shared his opinion on his team's new addition and his expectations going up to Premiership.

Looking back at our performance at i63, we were a little disappointed at our finishing position. But, despite not meeting our goal for the LAN, we are all immensely proud of each other for how far we have come in such little time, having good games versus teams like SVIFT and being able to take a map off Se7en on two separate occasions now, just to name a few reasons. However, with the addition of Corbac moving forward, it’s like everyone has had a sudden revitalisation of confidence and willingness to improve as a team and do as well as possible in the upcoming season. As it is both amarok and I’s first season in Premiership, we are really looking forward to the season too.

We also caught up with the FAINT newcomer, Corbac, about his new team and his motivation for the upcoming season.

I'm very excited to join Faint's European roster, I feel like we have what it takes to be one of Europe's best teams and compete at the best level. We're all very motivated and it's a pleasure being part of a team with this competitive mindset and such dedication. On a more personal note, I want to prove my worth after disappointing results at i63 and in ETF2L Season 30 with Ascent.EU.
