The regular season is kicking off with a clash of sponsored teams, as Ascent.EU and SVIFT EU will be dueling on this week’s maps : Process and Granary.
Ascent.EU are coming into this fixture as favorites, thanks to their star spangled roster so this will be the first test for this very ambitious team, but I would not dismiss SVIFT EU so easily if I were them. They are a balanced team, with an ability to quickly adapt and it would not be the first time that a more individually-talented roster loses because of an inability to counter the teamplay of their opponents.
Speaking of individuals, I would be on the lookout for Drackk and silentes, to see if there’s still some rustiness in them or if they managed to go back to a top level already. The sniper match up might be good as well, with credu looking like the most dangerous on the field, but alba’s LAN performance showed that he is the best Swedish sniper currently (Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, if you will).
