recently i changed my resolution from 1440x900 (Full Screen) to 1680x1050 (native res) windowed no border
when i play on this new res it feels like i have a bit of mouse lag, now when i say bit i mean a seriously minimal amount, it almost feels like mouse acceleration
so when i had mentioned this someone said to make sure windows aero extensions was disabled, and it was enabled the whole time. once i disabled that it went away but i notice the issue coming up again sometimes even on certain maps
it isn't there at all when i play on 1440x900, only on this native res. i switched it up recently for my stream and it works great in that sense but thats about it, recommendations on what i should change in my cfg? please help thank you

Sorry to hear the Aeros extensions didn't work, I really thought that was the culprit. :(
Anyway, now that we know that wasn't it, I'm wondering if it's the DPI of your mouse? Typically a DPI as low as 500 is enough for most resolutions, but just in case, what is your current DPI?
Also, of course be sure that you don't have any acceleration enabled, either through windows or your mouse software. If you use chris' fps config and the launch options that come with it, this along with m_rawinput 1 should disable windows mouse accel, but to be certain, check that in your control panel-hardware-mouse-pointer options-enhance pointer precision must be unchecked.
Sorry if that sounds dumb I'm just trying to rule out variables.

The reason I asked what is your dpi, is because since you don't seem to notice the problem on a lower res, perhaps your mouse was having trouble scaling on the higher res. But since you use 1800 dpi, that's more than plenty to rule that out, so you don't need to change your dpi, definitely don't need to lower it.
Also remember when I got you to check the properties and compatibility tab on hl2.exe? That was the disable desktop composition feature, which you have checked, and that's a good thing.
Like I said if you feel that you're having a strange mouse accel sensation, then check that you have enhance pointer precision unchecked in your mouse settings in windows, and check that your razer driver software isn't enabling any accel. I guess that somehow the accel feeling could be exacerbated by the new res when you stream? Don't quote me on that though, I admit I'm grasping at straws on this one. Hopefully someone more tech-savvy than myself will come save the day.

You can try going to Control Panel > System then clicking the Advanced System Settings link on the left sidebar. Then in the new System Properties dialogue box that pops up, click on the Advanced tab. Under the Performance section click Settings. In the new dialogue box under Visual Effects, click the Adjust for best performance radio button and click apply.
What it does is similar to disabling Windows Aero extensions, only it makes it even more basic. Like, Windows 2000 basic. I have no idea if it will make any difference at all for you, but give it a shot. I do it every time I play a game (although I have no idea if it actually does anything) just in case.
