Wer das liest ist doof has finally settled on a pocket soldier replacement for clip, who was previously forced to step down due to real life commitments. The Germans & friends have formerly been using Josh as a merc at the beginning of the season, and have trialed feeling for a while, but have ultimately decided on selecting Dr. Phil as their main Pocket for the remainder of the season.

Dr. Phil is the founder of LEGO, a primarily Danish team he lead to three podium finishes on ETF2L over the years. His last appearance in Premiership was one of those finishes, as LEGO finished 3rd in season 28, but he resurfaced to participate at Copenhagen Games 2018, where LEGO ended with another third place finish. Most of of his top level experience is as Demoman, but stints on Medic and Pocket soldier have established him as a versatile and selfless player, and his top level expertise will resonate with that of other veteran players on the team.

We reached out to Dr. Phil, who expended on the circumstances that led to him joining this new team:

Stefan asked me if i wanted to pocket for wer das liest ist doof for the rest of the season, since they were in need of a new one. So i played with them for a bit and feels like it going well.

After qualifying for Premiership through the Preseason Playoffs, Wer das liest ist doof got off quite a rough start, only gaining points from teams that subsequently folded. However, their recent victory against SVIFT EU was a large noon for the team, propelling them to fourth.

Stefaaan has yet to miss out on playoffs every time he's played in the highest European division, and seems to want to keep his track record. The team in of itself will be looking to improve on their latest Premiership finish, which saw them finish in fourth place in Season 29. This season, unabled is replacing aidelos in what is their first Prem season, and Honey and WARHURYEAH were also recruited. After last week’s success, it seems like everything is finally clicking together for the not-so-German-now squad, but keeping this good form as we enter the last two weeks will be crucial if they wish to squeeze their way into the playoffs.

Renowned streamer and professional hardware reviewer WARHURYEAH offered his thoughts on having more top-level experience join the squad:

Well, we are on our fourth pocket of the season. And we beat SVIFT with Dr.Phil so we are pretty pleased. Having a new pocket every week kind of puts us back 5 steps with each one that we end up playing with as they have all got a different playstyle to each other. With me being a very selfish player in terms of comms and heals I think most have needed a lot of adjustment. DrPhillip was a demo main so I feel it has helped us a lot on him getting settled in. 

We are also very happy to no longer be sitting at -1 points in ETF2L bought to us by another Lego player not changing his name
