As the regular season is nearing its end, Ora Elektro have decided to make some roster changes, changing out Maroš for Scruff, who’s making his return to the team after previously leaving at the beginning of the season.
Maroš was making his comeback in ETF2L with Ora Elektro, having last appeared in the league in Season 27. His first steps in the Premiership division were with ChampGG.K! in Season 25, where he showed his prowess on both Scout and Sniper. After ChampGG.K! collapsed the following season, he merced for Arctic Foxes during their playoff run that ultimately led them to a second place finish.
Opting to stay with the foxes the following season paid off greatly, with the pack taking their revenge on Se7en to win Season 27, Maroš’ highest finish to date. After that, he stepped down from competitive TF2 online. Now primarily a LAN warrior, Maroš recently finished second at Copenhagen Games 2018 with MGE Chad, and 7-8th at Insomnia63 with Timed_Out.
Scruff has had a shorter Premiership tenure in comparison, with Season 31 only being his second so far. Scruff first arrived after winning High with OMNI5 ESports EU and surprised the competitive community as they went on to reach the lower bracket finals in their first season in Prem.
He got in touch with Ora Elektro at Copenhagen Games 2018, where Ora and OMNI5.EU joined forces to compete at the event with players from both rosters. The mix ultimately placed fifth at that event, and ended up going along so well that they choose to bring the roster online for Season 30 of ETF2L, under the Ora banner. Later moving on to Insomnia63 — albeit with a slightly altered roster — Scruff continued his tradition to surprise as Ora Elektro placed 4th after pulling off a string of impressive upsets in the playoffs.
We got in touch with Eemes, who explained the reasons behind Maroš’ departure and Scruff’s return despite him leaving the team at the beginning of the season :
Unfortunately, Maroš has been losing motivation to play recently, so he has decided to leave. However, we have been quite fortunate in the timing of this, as the exam Scruff took his break to prepare for happened this week, and he now has time to play again. So, while we are sorry to see Maroš go, it's good to be playing with Scruff again, as he fits back in well having played 2 LANs and one ETF2L season with Ora.
Returning with the receipt, the Ora Elektro roster is:
- Scout: Nevo
- Scout: Scruff
- Roamer: Azunis
- Pocket: papi
- Demoman: Eemes
- Medic: Demos
