I just finished it last night, and it's so good.
I just finished it last night, and it's so good.
Undertale was mostly story based. A strong game alone based on the characters you meet and the environments you go through. Gameplay wise though, it wasn't that good. It was really unique, and the like TWO boss fights during the genocide route were great. Other than that it really wasn't fun.
I am really, really, really happy that the gameplay was made 10x better in deltarune and the environments and characters are still just as fun. I agree it's pretty good. A very solid follow-up.

i would mainly agree with nursey's post but i don't understand why they are making a sequel to the game that ended with a thematic message of "don't dwell on the past and let people/things be themselves and be able to move on"
the game literally encourages you (after beating the game peacefully) to NOT play it again, to forget everything ever happened, and to let the people in the game live their lives. the game also CHASTISES you if you try to play again, saying that you clearly don't care about the characters or how they feel.
the game's theming, beginning to end, is about not being obsessed with things and how the adverse effects of "fandom" not only ruin the fan, but the work itself
so why did he make a sequel?

it's so good but im worried how long it will take for the second chapter to come out, according to toby fox's twitter Deltarune had been in development SINCE 2012, even him isnt sure how long the next chapter will take and he doesnt feel confident he can lead a team :(

its good but i dont like the fact that its not a sequel, wanted to see how that story ended or maybe even a few years before undertale 1 with frisk and the original royal family together with asriel and all of them before they became bosses and maybe even more computer science major voodoo on my computer depending on wat ending u got in 1 (genocide til i die) like maybe hey, if u did genocide and the demon is still there from 1 maybe ur character could start the game off distant and not talk to anyone in the royal family
