for me probably like 2 months if ur talking maintaining dm and aim. i rly think that once you get better than pubber level, the majority of your aim is just recognizing movement patterns than muscle memory which will take like an hour to get back no matter how long u take off

"game got mega boring and painful to play"
"i wanna play open"
something here doesn't add up. If you don't enjoy playing then why would you want to play? You'll have 5 other people deal with your shit and screw them over if you decide you want to leave the team. And if you do ever decide to come back to TF2 after that you'll be known as someone who abandons teams
Don't play until you enjoy the game again

don't worry about rusting up, you lose rust a lot faster then you gain it tbh
also playing open when you don't want to put in a lot of hours is a sure fire way to end up hating tf2 with a passion

I personally just do a jump map, MGE a buddy, or hop into a DM server a couple of times a week for like an hour max to try and at least keep some muscle memory. Only if I'm really feeling it, though. Literally just like everyone else said, even if you don't play for a while, you're still going to maintain a lot of your mechanical ability.
Also, at least for me, I've found the best way to prevent getting super burnt out half-way through a season is to just not play at all until you have to. Like, if you scrim at 9:30, get on around 8:00 - 8:30 and warm up, play scrims, and then close the game. Only time I launch the game outside of that time is if I want to look over a demo or if I really want to play a pub or a jump map or a pug or something. Playing way too much is a great way to stop enjoying the game, and I found that limiting my playtime made me actually look forward to scrims and shit instead of dreading it.
If you try stuff like this and still find yourself not wanting to play, I'd recommend taking a break and focusing on some other shit. If you actively dread playing the game, forcing yourself to play is just gonna make it worse, and it's going to affect your gameplay and make people not want to play with you.

personally i do best in this game when i play the game as little as possible, which is warmup before scrims, scrims, and matches, with demo reviews from time to time.
however, this varies from person to person, so you should find what works best for you
