Yeah its dead. Chapelaria tried using faceit as the main plataform for pugs and tournaments but the community didnt really approve it. Consequently inhouse pugs started gaining more ground and the chapelaria staff didnt quite like the idea.
South American tf2 is far from dead tho, UGC and FBTF are still going on and some brand new leagues are also on the way.

I play on NA because of the ping ,though.
I get worse ping on BR than on any NA server. Even Kansas
