How many people can actually get that level of graphics with playable FPS?
The texture of the paint on the wall near the start of the demo is incredible. O.O
Tired of the "modern" warfare craze.
I want World War II to come back.

The guy playing was so bad. I thought it was very similar to BF3 apart from improved graphics
...the first glimpse of the human, dramatic, and believable single player campaign in Battlefield 4.

too bad the final release will be a blurry, blinding, bloom in your face piece of shit that is no where near as visually polished as what's shown in that video.
you can tell just from the trailer they're going for that gritty realism along with the "war is bad" thing that spec ops the line did.
unfortunately is just looks like the most brown and grey game ever made

EA has effectively turned battlefield into another cod series.

He falls 6 stories and gets buried in giant pieces of concrete. Then he gets up and just dusts himself off.

Sad thing too is that it probably will have "release day" DLCs on top of being forced to use Origin.

EA just publishes Battlefield stuff. DICE develops. If anything, DICE has turned Battlefield into another CoD series. And that, I disagree with. BF3's multiplayer (on PC) was as true to the "old days" as we've gotten in a while. If the trend continues then BF4's multiplayer won't disappoint.
Sure, the campaign plays out like a big action movie with sensationalized bouts of explosions coming out of nowhere and bullets whizzing all over the place but that doesn't necessarily mean BF4's multiplayer will change at all. Besides, it's easy to appreciate the strides made in interactive storytelling when it comes to the campaigns in Battlefield and CoD, even if the stories they tell are lackluster. Really, who expected the squad to actually escape?
Now, if you mean that BF is turning into a CoD series because they're pumping out installments then that's a ridiculous statement in its own right. Of course they're gonna pump installments out on an annual basis if possible. DICE is a business and so is EA. Gotta get dem bucks. I personally can't disrespect a developer, publisher, or the franchise itself just because it has a lot of installments under its name.

Battlefield has been doing this for a while so idk why you're bringing it up as if it's a new thing.
e: One thing I will agree with is that I don't see most people able to run this at max settings at all, let alone when playing multiplayer, esp. if DICE maintains the 64 player size servers and massive maps from BF3.

He also gets shot 40 times.
Lets just slow down here for a minute and evaluate our standards.

Please have vehicle combat that doesn't blow ass like BF3.
I'm glad to see there seems to be a decent amount of recoil to firing a gun though.

Dice seems to be getting out of the game business and into the movie business.
Frankly, I haven't given a damn about single player modes in a shooter since forever, the gameplay imo will rarely be better than the multiplayer, and there are movies or books (or the game's wiki) if I want a story.

Planetside 2 is kinda doing an awesome job at filling the "epic scale" niche in shooters, I'm interested to see if BF4 is really able to do much.
I totally agree with the paying thing, I haven't bought a game that's niche has a free competitor in a while, save for WoW cause.. well its fucking WoW.
Rome 2: Total War will get my money though :3

We play TF2, we have no realism standards.
