Ascent.EU have announced on Twitter that Elacour will be parting ways with the European team, and will be replaced by alle as a replacement. After finishing in second place last season, the AMS-led roster hopes that the addition of the tenured Swede will help fill the vacancy left by Elacour, especially as the next LAN event inches closer.
Welcome to Ascent @allebwai.

Elacour was a part of Ascent.EU ever since the org crossed the Atlantic to sponsor a team at i61. Noted as having some of the strongest DM as a Demo main in Europe, Elacour certainly made an impact on the ETF2L crowd, picking up the “Demoman of the Season” award every time he made playoffs, as well as being proclaimed “Best Player of the Season” for his performance during Season 28.
The pickup of alle is nothing too surprising as the Swedish Demoman was currently teamless after the old Faint EU roster disbanded following the end of ETF2L Season 31. alle also was an integral part of a previous iteration of Ascent.EU (then named sauna slayers), who finished second in Season 25.

alle first made a name for himself during his spell with Full Tilt, notably achieving second place at i58. But he has also found success with many other teams, winning Premiership with Se7en, Arctic Foxes and SVIFT in Seasons 26, 27 and 28 respectively. Recently, he oversaw Faint Gaming’s old European squad climb to the top, starting in Division 1 and ending up with a bronze medal last season in Premiership. He has notably known for his impressive jumps and aggressive playstyle.
We’ve asked alle about his reckonings for next season, and just like in game, he was fast to the point.
we are gonna Ascend to the Top with Our Gameplay On Peak on Fleek
Team leader AMS shared his thoughts about next season and being re-united with alle.
It's not easy to replace a player like Elacour, but thankfully there were some good players out there that we got to try out.
After just one night of playing with alle, it was obvious to us that he was the best candidate. I think alle is arguably a better fit for the team than Elacour was, since we now have a much more united idea of how we want to play the game and he brings a lot to the table in terms of calling as well. Most of us also have also played with him in the past and there is some pre-existing synergy between us.
I'm really excited to keep playing with this team and we are all as motivated as ever, especially with LAN coming up.
With alle’s presence ensuring big fan love from Sweden, the Ascent.EU roster is now:
