try capping your fps by putting this into console "fps_max number" you want to cap it with

try capping your fps by putting this into console "fps_max number" you want to cap it with
its already capped, the problem isnt the fps (at least i dont think so)

that used to happen to me, but it stopped after i reset my modem, but the drops are way more frequent and worse

Along with what Kissme suggested, providing your pingtest should prove helpful as well. I used to get that kind of net_graph on a wireless card that kept unseating itself. Also, check to see if the pause comes from your anti-virus, in which case, exclude the Steam folder from future scans.

apparently my jitter is much lower all of a sudden, but the drops still happen
