RGBLAN returns to the Philadelphia Expo Center for its fourth iteration, once again featuring TF2 as a one day event on Saturday, June 22nd. Expected to feature at least twenty teams, it'll be one of the biggest RGB installments yet, with the tournament to be covered by teamfortresstv. Set to be North America's largest LAN in years, we've compiled a preview of teams featuring Invite talent to look out for this coming Saturday.
Ford Gaming
- Scout: sandblast
- Scout: yosh
- Roamer: sigh
- Pocket: tripbwai
- Demoman: habib
- Medic: b3arodactyl
Sitting third in the Invite rankings, Ford Gaming has taken to the streets of Philadelphia for RGB. Ford currently hovers at 10-4 in the ESEA tables, having lost to Ascent, cafe monster RB, and twice to froyotech. The team hit a bump on the way down unfortunately, losing Demoman Jarrett, but with able to round out the team with froyotech's resident plumber habib.
Team leader sandblast shared their thoughts on the roster with us.
My team is pretty much Ford Gaming. Just no Jarrett, but we got habib so that's ok. We would like to win the event because we are good! Good luck to the other teams tho!
Kings Crew
- Scout: bwelp
- Scout: ringo
- Roamer: okiewaka
- Pocket: pheLon
- Demoman: pauldogg
- Medic: lucrative
Almost a month after their decision to withdraw from a rocky season of Invite in favor of prepare for Philadelphia, Kings Crew have sat on the sidelines, preparing to debut their revamped roster at this year's RGB. The new roster has changed out nomi and exile from the regular season for ringo and okiewaka, and are looking to perform in Philadelphia.
Medic Lucrative had this to share about their hopes for RGB.
I mean the roster is pretty FTB, good to have okie and ringo in the squad. Basically just a friend team going in and hoping to do well while also having a good time. You can guarantee we will be the hypest and loudest team at the venue for sure.
Excellent Theory of Drunk
- Scout: saam
- Scout: Shiny
- Roamer: Alexandros
- Pocket: FrickMyNick
- Demoman: Makkabeus
- Medic: Pablo
Adding to the "low invite" list of rosters is Season 30 IM runners-up and current ESEA Invite 7th place holders: Excellent Theory of Drunk. With its vital, and more honest, one letter addition to their moniker, they will hope to replicate their performance against Kings Crew and Ed Head on the LAN courts.
Resident caster and gardener FrickMyNick shared insight into the team's rigorous LAN training.
We've mastered the court and the alcohol, now we're hoping to score big at LAN. Despite not having the full core of Dunk, we're hoping the drunks won't be dribbling too hard. I'm coming in hot off the bench finally free of my towel boy duties. Saam and Alexandros are welcomed additions for the tournament, and I am hoping their experience will help us ball hard. Having placed 7th, 5th, and 3rd at the previous RGBs, I'm hoping that I can keep up the trend and we can take home the gold
cafe monster RB
- Scout: highfive
- Scout: mu^
- Roamer: garbuglio
- Pocket: yomps
- Demoman: botmode
- Medic: zilly
After a tumultuous pre-season under the initial moniker of corn100, this cafe monster roster eventually found their way into the arms of ReBirth to play out the season, where they sit at an even keel with Ford Gaming. For LAN, they've had to make some substitutions, tagging in cafe monsters botmode and yomps in place of delpo and aimes, setting them up to be one of the strongest teams on LAN.
Street Hoops
- Scout: ash
- Scout: alec
- Roamer: cozen
- Pocket: Showstopper
- Demoman: duwatna
- Medic: Ninjanick
20believers of Philadelphia rejoice, as Street Hoops returns to LAN with a roster straight out of the TF2 history books. While not a roster for the ESEA season, several players are active in Season 31, with ash and Ninjanick holding 5th place and a 6-6 record under Not Interested. This roster of veterans will look to roll back the years and rise to extend the 20b legacy into 2019.
Scout ash shared with us their hopes for the roster and LAN.
Our crew has always enjoyed coming out and playing at these LANs, and although we’re getting a little old and washed, it’s still a fun time to hang out and play some games with the boys.
big bongs long dongs
- Scout: yerb
- Scout: capnfapn
- Roamer: bark
- Pocket: Nursey
- Demoman: clorg
- Medic: spades slick
One of many mixes attending this event, big bongs long dongs notably features Nursey, the Medic of froyotech and EVL Gaming fame, offclassing to the Pocket role to flex their sleeper Medic DM skills. Surrounding said offclasser lies an array of Open and IM players who hope to surprise some teams in Philadelphia.
Scout yerb was able to give us their thoughts on the mix, and provided their insight into the roster for LAN.

small brane b1g gainz

- Roamer: jenkins
- Pocket: fygg
