ESEA S31 GF: froyotech vs. Ascent

Gather with us today, as we bear witness to the end of an era in TF2, to watch sparks fly as titans clash, and the pages of history close on ESEA Invite. And there is no more fitting matchup for this time then Ascent vs Froyotech, the closer to many a season will be run one last time, as both teams sit poised to leave their final mark on Invite history.

Fighting from the lower bracket will be Ascent, requiring two back-to-back best of three wins if they are to take this series. With their win in Week 4, it seemed that the tables may have turned in the trademark NA duality, but 4G weren't going to take this laying down, and ran back the next three maps against Ascent, each in more dominant fashion than the last. Backed into a corner now, Ascent will have to pull out all the stops on this series of Snakewater, Process, and Viaduct if they hope to rekindle their spark of Week 4. The mountains may seem bleak, but it's not over until it's over.

Goodbye ESEA, thanks for all the airshots, frags, drama, moments and memories. It has been a wild ride and although we may part ways, i am glad i was able to be there for at least a short time. And although we may be sad that it is ending, I for one, am excited to see where competitive NA TF2 goes next.
