It's official: the F-150 is heading down Route 66 this January, as Ford Gaming have guaranteed themselves a spot in the upcoming California event after winning the BTS LAN Qualifier.
This roster bears a nearly identical resemblance to the founding roster that debuted ESEA Season 31, except for swapping one shotgun Pocket for another. paddie has seen great success at the previous two North American LANs, taking first at Rewind and second at Rewind II. Now, the Canadian looks to use their experience to augment American engineering.
While sitting in a spacious four-door, five-passenger cabin, paddie shared the story of their recruitment.
I was sitting on my recliner at dawn, reflecting upon RGL. I had served my tenure as combat medic under General Slamberg. God, it was chaos. Bodies everywhere. I remember the fisting like it was yesterday. Suddenly, I could hear a motor in the distance. I snapped out of it. The sound was all too familiar, I couldn’t mistake it. It had to be a V6 Turbo Diesel engine. I got up from my chair and peered into the distance. Lo and behold it was an F-150 in all its mighty glory. Sandblast. What could he want? The engine roared as he drew closer, the Ford vehicle blocking the rise of the sun. The engine stopped and Sandblast stepped out. Something was in his hand. No. It couldn’t be. “paddie,” he said, “it’s time.” A shotgun was handed to me, the memories flashed back: “And FROYOTECH are your Rewind 1 champions!” I faded back to the present. Sandblast pointed at the horizon, the top of the summit. A dark cloud brewed over the mountaintop, and in the distance laughter akin to that of mickey mouse could be heard echoing through the valley. I grinned and pumped the shotgun, “Get in the Ford.”
Meanwhile, driver sandblast commented on their best-in-class payload.
I'm happy with how my team played in the qualifiers; picking up the maple syrup king paddie helped us in a lot of our weak points. Dropping off sigh is not an easy thing to do... But as we drive to the top of the summit, we replaced our F-150 to an F-250.
