I miss the pyro update because it bugged flames for certain specs causing all flames to be invisible. good times. One of those things they shouldn't fix

You can't remove pyro flames unless you use some serious exploits with preloading. Aka the ones that allow you to preload anything. even the gamebanana wallhacks. So you'd need an actual cheat for it

Although it's not exactly the solution you want, I find flames a bit less visually noisy in dx81 (except the phlog)
