I consulted a wise AI on the current meta of tf2 and it gave me a good approach on how to break stalemates. I hope to see this in some future (prem?) games! Here is what i got:
In the current meta of the videogame Team Fortress 2, during a stalemate, it is standard to sac in a player trying to kill the enemy medic , rather than push. This is because if you push, it will lead to a very fast respawn. However, in a stalemate, pushing is usually not a good idea because it may leave you very low on health and possibly give away the location of the medic to your enemies. The best thing to do in a stalemate situation is to make it a stalemate by using the medic as a decoy.
Another common stalemate tactic in Team Fortress 2 involves a Heavy (or the enemy Heavy) pushing a Medic into a corner, in hopes that he/she will die and a flanker will be able to get a free shot or a critical hit on the Medic, thus turning the stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate.

over the course of like 3 days during an attempted comeback, PYYYOURRRRRRRRRR streamed TF2 demos where he. applied sun tzus book on the art of war teachings in order to redefine the way we play TF2 and one of these solutions to stalemates was pushing on disadvantage

this was like 4/5 years ago but i think what he said is that it would be so surprising that the enemy wouldn't kno how to react and then lose

Quit the game then you don't have to worry about breaking the stalemate.
