I've lost almost all my interest I had playing scout, and I'm unsure of how I should go about this. How can I regain interest in the class I play? It's not a loss of interest for the game since I'm still really interested in playing TF2.
It's gotten to the point where I just don't care for practising outside of scrimming and just show up for scrims/matches. I've been having thoughts of switching to soldier or something and sticking with it for once, and how that would be interesting, but I'm on a team and I don't just want to up and leave.
Any help?

If you don't like something, don't play it. Switch to another class you like better, and maybe go back someday

Since you play scout, learn how to play pocket soldier, medic, or demo. My reasoning for this is that their roles are way more different than scout than playing roamer would be. I've been playing demo more in lobbies (lol) and I've been having a blast.

i find it hard to believe that you guys having a ton of matches suddenly getting turned over and as well as having no chance at making playoffs is unrelated
competitive players who dont feel like they are making progress arent going to have fun

dont play as much. only play as much as you can enjoy. If that means only scrims and matches then so be it. If that means u spend 15 minutes before scrimming to warm up then thats good too. Dont overdo it just for the sake of practicing.

I always thought clockwork was an amazing soldier, but he hated the class so much he refused to play it after FukMGE. Switching classes seemed to work out for him. I don't know if this is the best example though because he seems to hate everything.

No, you're right, it definitely didn't help at all but for a few months now I've just been losing complete interest in the class.

Play something new. Not like anybody in this game has some sort of fanbase that will shake the world if he or she plays something else for once.

Play MGE until people mistake it for skill and then hitch a ride on a good open roster where you get carried into IM.
Worked for me

Just remembered that I get 3x my normal ping around scrim times, so I'll probably have to take a break from playing until I can get that sorted. Don't really feel like playing any of the other classes with 150 ping. oh well
