i'm not the best scout nor do i have the best dm out there but here are some things i learned for scout v scout assuming terrain adv is equal.
stutter strafes, long strafes, w and s, v's, circles can help vary your movement. read movement. are they moving in small circles? try doing longer strafes. make it difficult for them to aim while doing their own movement. scouts with good movement blend the above patterns seamlessly. don't be so obvious either constantly smashing adad or moving across the map entirely in circles - in a real game you'd get punished for it. experiment. you'll eventually pick up what works for you best.
move the mouse. don't always use wasd to line up shots. try moving in one direction while shooting in another to learn that your aim is not parallel to your movement. don't turn this into a bad habit tho like me and shoot everywhere while moving wildly. your movement is best when it's controlled and you spend the least amount of moving and aiming required to hit shots. efficiency will always give you the upperhand over someone moving their mouse unnecessarily across the screen.
and finally when you're practicing, always try going for the hard shots.
good at scout even better on sniper. vortex will help out anyone on the team looking to improve, he deserves a good solid team that knows what they're doing
botmodeit's difficult for a demo or soldier to close the distance to shoot these soldiers due to the possibility of a scout (or anyone really) shooting them in the back especially due to first point risen (not fun)

Alle helped me become a better jumper by inviting me to group watchings of TLC's My Crazy Obsession. It was a true learning experience, alongside watching child beauty pageants led by mommas like Coupon Queen. I'm happy his stream is now available as we can learn the secrets of jumping watch this amazing demo jumper in action. Also looking forward to more Real Talk with alle and Aurora in the future, that show is deserving of so many awards, keep up the great quality content.
4812622The Flare Gun isn't as powerful as the Reserve Shooter, either. It fires incredibly slowly and does only 90 damage

AlfonsoCrawfordHello everyone!
I'm just gonna cut to the chase here: what would you like to see on Pyro, to make them more fun to play as and/or against?
I play stock pyro. Stock pyro is better for the most part.
The degreaser is shit. Usually results in abusing airblast for comboing, while rewarding a fast weapon switch with a mere 10% deducted dmg from the flamethrower. Not to mention the same ab ammo as stock. Basically a secondary primary. Things like the 1 hit kill axtinguisher, reserve shooter...yea no. Some weapons encourage bad play by rewarding too much.
Back to stock. Could probably use fewer airblasts. Make reflects harder to do, requiring more accuracy, either by aiming spot on or decreasing the window time/space needed to reflect. I'd also like to see a dmg deterioration for holding down m1.
Good luck with your project.
Thanks for any tryouts, we just need 1 more player to make this team possible. We're still scrimming today for any potential tryouts, please add vortex (http://steamcommunity.com/id/MentalVortex/) if you'd want to join us.
You don't even have to hang out with us all the time, just a few minutes so we can talk things over post scrims.
Hello, I'm looking for a low level team. I feel pretty intimidated posting here but gonna try.
I'm somewhat new to the game but I'm dedicated to improving. I was a sub med for a steel team and played a few games, on a silver team this season but not sure if it's going to last. Either way, I would still like to continue scrimming with people that wouldn't mind helping me a bit along the way. I'm dedicated and will pick up fast if you give me the chance.
I don't like angry people or trash talkers. I'm already hard on myself. Winning is nice and criticism is good after the game. Clean comms are preferred.
I'm west coast. Can scrim Mon-Thurs 6pm-9pm pst. Ideally I'd like to get on a team that scrims a lot so I can improve and do my share of work for the team too.
I review demos, watch streams and like to dm and jump, some of you have probably seen me around. :)
Things I need to work on: positioning and counting uber. Sometimes I make shitty comms because I don't know maps. Shy at first but try to be friendly.
Good things: I don't get mad and never give my teammates shit during the game if they make mistakes. I expect the same treatment. Consistent and available.
If not on a team I'd still love playing with chill people that know what they're doing and wouldn't mind showing me some stuff. Please don't direct me to newbie mixes as it was generally an unpleasant experience lol thanks.

hi marxist
we talk ya i can do it :)
This guy knows a lot to playing medic and is pretty good with frag classes too. Always looking to improve - reviews maps and demos all the time plus consistent dm. Doesn't mind helping people along the way. His understanding of the game and its team dynamic is sure to help whatever group he ends up playing with. Cool and friendly.
TheWoundedStapler pls be my friend I want someone fun to pub with and my friends won't play with me. :(
Also if you knew more about comp tf2 you could prolly make a decent caster.
if it's just a one time payment for a season, 25 should be the bare minimum. if this community wants a decent league and additional resources provided by cevo, it should consider paying more, assuming the money is going to the right place
a breakdown of where the money is going would be useful
I once specced a 6's match with 3rd person top view where the map looked like a blueprint. The 2 major probs were that I couldn't make out the players easily and missed out on plays up close. But it did give a very good feeling for flow in the game - positioning and pushes were a lot more entertaining - felt like watching a soccer match.
Obviously you can't use the same view forever but I was thinking if someone made some color coded image labels for that blueprint view and mixed it with some 1st person plays, it would be very accessible. Someone could just tune in and understand what's going on. They could see the game in its team-coordinated beauty and focus on whatever they want without having to miss the bigger picture.
I specced a friend's dota game recently and although I had no real clue what was happening, the bottom left map always kept me informed. I kept coming back to it and realized if tf2 casts had a similar feature, they could reach a wider audience.
