You're point about stats don't tell the whole story is a good one, but if you're going to argue that an invite caliber scout isn't going to have a large impact on a open match when playing on his main(the class that also has the most impact mind you) is not a good one. He's played the game longer, has better mechanics and understanding of the game, on par with other invite players. He is going to dick on open players who haven't played competitively as long.
