Jest najlepszym krajem!
flatlinethey're watching
tbh it's more like we ask and they deliver
which is a very good thing :D
My dad is positive that competitive video games are a farce or something idk
He also always comes over and trash talks me when I'm losing in MGE :|
Corsagargleburrygrapes playing roamer?
i think showstopper on roamer and grape pocket would be better, grapes more used to getting tanked it would be easier for showstopper to adjust
grape is really good at both and showstopper has good calls.
Also according to showstopper (and ninjanick a while ago), grape just straight up wants to roam while showstopper wants to pocket. Not really a question if they both know what they want to play.
edit: ninjad by 14 seconds smh
Showstopper's team (remains of 20b) is scrimming rn with roster
Ninjanick
Showstopper
Xalox
Alec
Cyzer
Grape
Could be a really good team if they scrim consistently.
aim-If you're streaming tf2 only don't upgrade your gpu
Absolutely correct, but OP if you do want a new GPU anyway, this is much better for your money than a gt 740: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GDDR5-Graphics-04G-P4-3748-KR/dp/B00KJGYOGG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1439220668&sr=8-1&keywords=Nvidia+4gb+DDR5

You have to be joking right? Even excluding my own bias, from someone that was playing at the event - the teams that won i46, i49 and i52 weren't "head and shoulders" above the rest by any stretch of the imagination. That is one of the main draws of repeated intercontinental lans in the first place - 3 years in a row there have been tournaments that any of the top teams could have walked away with on the day, and that fact leads to some of the best & most competitive tf2 played each year. Hopefully i55 is the same, and I'm super jealous of everyone lucky enough to go this year.
People that act like it was super obvious that Froyo was gonna win clearly don't remember how tense and exciting the two days before the final were. There are teams that are favorited and might even be a slightly better team in terms of skill, but that doesn't mean the outcome is set in stone. A lucky pick or two to change the momentum, a player catching fire, a bad map. The skill level gap is so small with the top teams that it can take very little to make a match go the other way.
And for what it's worth, that's exactly why I said that Froyo will be the best team of all time if they win i55. There's no doubt that different teams (like Mixup and Epsi) have been extremely dominant in their times. But if Froyotech win i55, they will have gone above and beyond what any other team has done: winning 4 ESEA seasons (3 of them on LAN), GXL, i52 and i55... That would prove that they consistently have that small yet significant edge over other top teams. And in a game where there have been a myriad of superteams with periods of dominance spanning months, not years, that consistency Froyotech have the change to prove is vitally important to being named GOAT.
However...
Athough Froyotech looked like slim favorites going into i52, I don't think that's necessarily the case this time around. nerdRage and Reason both look really good, while Ascent with Engima has a lot of potential too. And of course I would love to see TLR prove that roster mishaps haven't hurt them. We'll see, but I think i55 could have a lot of surprises in store for us.
ComangliaHallowCan you connect it to a 120hz monitor? (and have it produce 120hz obviously)HallowPretty sure you need either a recent version of HDMI or displayport.
HDMI 1.4b which was released in 2011 is most likely the port on this, as HDMI 2.0 didn't come out until April this year. 1080p 120Hz should be possible on it.
Conversely you can also use a CRT monitor over the VGA port, and use 120Hz assuming you can find a CRT that supports it.
It has a displayport according to notebookcheck, so it should be able to easily drive 120hz @ 1080p. And with a quad core i7, it should do fine in TF2 even though it is a laptop.
etherI don't really watch NA TF2 but is this Alfa guy good? because there's a lot of comments mocking him..
I mean they could have picked up harbleu because he doesn't come to lan to lose.
The non-sarcastic and/or joking response is that
1. Alfa is a very good player who has played every sixes class at a top-Invite level.
2. When playing soldier or scout, he tends to go sniper a lot, occasionally at questionable moments. However, despite his reputation, he's a pretty amazing sniper. Maybe not quite as godly as Forsaken or Flippy, but he's really good.
3. He's made some questionable posts on this forum in particular, which has *ahem* influenced his reputation for being a bit asocial.
So yeah, he'll be good for TLR; there's no doubt (especially after his last LAN performance which just about everyone's expectations) he can perform with the best of the world (although as a roamer he does tend to have a lot of deaths). It's more of a concern how they'll be able to practice effectively, honestly. But all in all, he'll be fine, he's a good, smart player and he'll do well.
CorsaDirtyMortnot sure if this is still true but I remember show saying on stream that his team was going to have cyzer on it.yeah
Yep afaik right now its show, ninjanick, grape, and cyzer confirmed. Everything else is speculation.
