Rewind is Feb 16th - 18th, RGB March 1st - 4th and Fites March 9th - 11th! It will cost me about 1000$+ to go to all of these, and I believe I'm one of the more geographically and financially fortunate people. The money isn't even the biggest issue, so much as these events being stuffed into 19 DAYS! I understand that tf2 isn't the only game in the world, but RGB (GXL) and FITES have always been huge tf2 lans. If you try and battle each other you are both going to lose out on attendance, and if you try and battle with ESA you will lose big time!
As I understand it, Silva explained that because of venue availability things had to be done this way and that I can understand. I'm not mad, I'm just a little disappointed. I know that RGB and Fites will suffer because of these dates and if you think it didn't this past march you are mistaken. Sure, some people made it out to both LANs but not allot and you could hardly call both tf2 tournaments "Competitive". Make RGB and Fites great again by spacing them out a few months next time.
