I tried all the different demo fov, fov and desired foc commands but cant get it to change

any help is apreciated

use demo fov override and spec_mode without arguments

still kinda annoying though because you have to go into first persion view of some player to change the fov, so If someone knows a faster way I'd be grateful

How do I get freecam? I tried changing spec_mode from 0-11 as well has having no parameter. I also made sure I hadn't disabled my movement keys by opening a normal demo and entering free cam mode using the "drive" function (I was able to fly around with free cam in the normal demo).

edit: ok it looks like I cant move with the +mfwd command, but +forward does work. Maybe the +mfwd was some alias in my gameplay config that I didnt have in my recording config.

How do I remove this gray bar at the top? -

oh really thanks, what happens when you leave it / remove it?

So if I have dxlevel 81 in my launch options it takes like 5-10 sec to tab in to the game and it will eventually crash. If I use dx 95 alt tabbing is instant, but I assume this would give me worse performance. Does anyone know a way to have dx 81 without having this issue or do you know if I would get better performance if I ran dx 81 in windowed compared to dx 95 fullscreen? Cause I won't have the alt tabbing problem in windowed (I assume windowed dx 81 gives worse performance than dx 81 fullscreen).

edit: I have disabled the focus support thingy for notifications in windows

had to put the shaders inside the bin folder as well problem solved

I have a skybox folder in my custom folder with skyboxes from lawena. I tried loading them in both demos and on a local server using sv_skyname sky_harvest_01 etc but it doesn't work. I have sv_cheats 1 and sv_pure 0. Any help is appreciated

not sure if this is relevant anymore but you can get viewmodels to work in pre inferno demos simply by joining a local server before playing the demos.

I sent an email regarding this to valve and I got an answer

If you right-click on Team Fortress 2 in your games list and select Properties, you can opt-in to the "pre_jungleinferno_demos" beta (on the BETAS tab) to fix your older demos. You won't be able to play online while in this state, but you can playback your old demos.
