#37 Sin6 Ultiduo Comp Poster for TOTH in TF2 General Discussion

As another arbitrary and probably irrelevant opinion I think it looks great. Looks a bit like a gig poster, really nice variation from what people normally do~

If you're worried about being too predictable, any time you make a directional decision just think about the way you were going to go, then go the other way. This works as a starting point.

The other thing is to think about which way you are facing - often people read more into what they think you know than it seems.

#1 i49 spectating in Berkeley, CA in Off Topic

Heyo, I'm an exchange student from NZ at berkeley right now and I was wondering if there is a group here watching the finals tonight/tomorrow morning. The matches are at quite shitty times here but thought I'd just check, keen to join in if poss. Unlikely given the times I guess, but hey.

Mackey interview makes the whole thing. Nicely held together by Arx and Beta stuff too though!

VirulenceThat's rough, mana. Hope everything works out for you.

My friend is an international student and she was considering them, until she called their admissions office for information and the officer there listened to half her situation before laughing and literally telling her to "fuck off". I suppose the guy could have been having a bad day but I'll be damned if it didn't colour my view of that place just a bit, heh.

This is great to hear, after just getting my visa to travel to Berkeley for the next semester as an international :] Honestly though, I've spoken with extremely helpful people. I am very excited, especially seeing all these Berkeley people -- anyone in Berkeley with a big screen watching i49??

#41 Comp.tf - A competitive tf2 wiki? in Projects

I think that it should be integrated here instead. I mean there aren't going to massive swathes of pages for absolutely everything (ala elder scrolls wiki, KoL wiki etc.), it could just be a "Wiki" link in the top bar, which has class guides, team histories, famous people etc. No need to split traffic.

#31 I am SCAMMED in Q/A Help

I mean, the kid has clearly just searched for team fortress or heard of that other thread - is there really a need to rip into him/her? Just panicking and looking for help wherever.

Perhaps there could be some guidelines against posting like this and they could just be linked if someone does?

2sy_morphiendhigh-level FPS play has always been about who is the better player and not bullshit RPS item-based decisions that occur long before you can even see your opponent

Yea I don't quite get this: if builds are a major part of the strategy of the game, aren't midfights essentially a dice roll about how your team's build matches the opponent's? I mean I guess you can predict based on what you know of the team to a degree, but it still seems like it would admit a lot of randomness

It's a good idea, I just don't think enough people would buy the item
