turtsmcgurtsBurnDLSaint_so... medi gun is ran 90% of the time, and something else takes over that spot. that "something else" gets called overpowered and banned. so we're back to using the medi gun 90% of the time again. Im still lost on how this all makes sense
So quickfix being run 90% of the time is any better?
Personally I enjoy Uber w/ no heavy to Quickfix w/ heavy
you're comparing Uber, something we've known and played with since 2007, to something drastically different that effectively released a month ago :/
edit: to expand on what i mean, we have years of practice with uber. we know how to use it effectively, we know how to counter it effectively. not the case with QF because of it being new, and it's going to continue being this way if people don't give it a chance.
Yes, if people can give GOOD reasons (Not "med is fun to play now lololol") why the quickfix should be allowed for season 16, then I am all for lifting the ban. Same if people find counters to it that is not run heavy/ run kritz and pray to god, then the same thing.
The fact of the matter is the pro-quickfix argument boil down to 2 things:
It makes med fun/ raises the med skill ceiling: Yes, but at the expense of ruining the experience of the 10 other players in the server. As a soldier, the PUGs I've played w/ quickfix as pocket or roamer have been really painful. As pocket, you are much more dependent on the med then ever before and have to completely change your style. As roamer you are gimped, and have to double check everything. Do you jump the med? If he is running QF, that might be pointless, as you jump and he pops. Good, right? Well after that is done, it is only a short time until he/she has another. Your life was even more pointless then normal -_-
It changes the meta: Call me old fashioned, but changing the meta is not automatically good. If Valve nerfed the QF a bit, and made it more situational, I would love it. It does really have a lot of good ideas within it. There are plenty of suggestions as to how to nerf it, which is a whole nother argument. What it does do is encourage the use of the heavy and force the other team to use a qf of their own. And to those of you believe that by 'changing the meta' we will gain valve support, you are way too naive. Valve does not see sixes as worth their time or money. End of story.
