I probably would've made good use of it when planning my PC build (thank you again), just to get a general framework of what I should be thinking of, and a context to start my research.

camperwill shade play lan?
Shade said on stream that he was told he won't be playing medic for froyo at LAN (after he bought tickets). Didn't really go into why b4nny/the team made that decision.
Beyond that he didn't say anything concrete for LAN, but he did imply there's a good chance he just won't attend.
As for next season, he said he doesn't want to play medic, and isn't sure if he will play at all. Mentioned he might want to make a "Froyopen" (rofl) where he and other people could offclass in IM/Open and not scrim, but clearly hasn't put much thought or planning into that idea.
Hope that catches everybody up on the one actual piece of roster news over the past couple days
nick_He seems pretty nice from the short time I've played with him.
mid open+ soldier
I have no idea how good whsh is but he's not "nice". I've played one mix with him and he talked constantly about how he didn't care, while simultaneously blaming everybody else for anything that went wrong. He spent the whole time insulting our pocket who was clearly pretty new to competitive and trying hard, or telling our medic to only heal our roamer instead because "our pocket is worthless"
I've heard his dm is okay though
Airshot is probably the #1 thing that comes to mind
Rang for my team once but our scrim partner cancelled on us. So, being the great guy he is, he hung out in our lowly low open mumble and gave our whole team advice for a solid 45 minutes, without being asked. He was really chill to talk to. Nice gamer :)
eeeso is elo hell a bellcurve of rank where >50% winrate still puts you in the lower portion of the graph?
I think it's more a situation where your improvement doesn't get rewarded by a >50% win rate in a timely fashion
I added you
For anybody else in NA who's desperate for some decent games, I run a pug group that kind of began organically among friends. Judging by your description of other pug groups you've played in, ours is about 100x better. The downside is we only get pugs going a few times a week at best. The more people I know and add to my "pug" tag on steam chat the more often they'll happen, though
the general skill level is around low open, with some players above and below. Anything above mid open and you don't really belong playing with this group. So yeah, whoever wants to get a message and discord notification whenever we're pugging is welcome to add me. The rules are pretty simple to follow and if you're aids to play with/against I'll just ban you.
I personally think MixChamp is by far and away the best place to play 6s regularly. There's no reason at all to ever play tf2center if you can play mixchamp instead.
SetsulCompletely random system gets you 50% winrate.
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but is this really true? Take this example:
you are put in a match with 11 other players of truly random skill, and you are the worst player to ever play the game. Now, there are 6 players on the other team who could be any skill level and there are 5 players who on your team who could be any skill level, plus one who is guaranteed to be terrible.
With a big enough sample size, aren't you at a statistical disadvantage? Every time you go into a game, there is a higher likelihood of being the worse team than there is of being the better team, due to your own individual skill level. This would (again with a large enough sample size) mean you're likely to win fewer than 50% of your games.
And the opposite would be true for the best player in the history of the game.
So, final exams are coming around. My first is tomorrow, and I'm sure a lot of you have them soon too.
How do you study? What helps you focus and stay on task? Are there any techniques you find help you learn concepts or memorize things reliably? Do you have any study habits you'd like to change?
Good luck in any exams you might have :)
I bought the XL2411Z a couple months ago and I love it for fragging, 144hz is an amazing quality of life improvement that you won't regret. However if you care about good colors (you mention photoshop work) I'd strongly discourage you from getting this monitor. The colors are noticeably bad. You might have to pay a bit more for a monitor with great gaming performance and good color reproduction
consoleCMaterialVar::GetVecValue: trying to get a vec value for $envmaptint which is of type 1
this is constantly spammed in console, and when it is, my game feels choppy in an offline server despite having like 500 fps. It sometimes stops depending on where I am in the map and what direction I look, but I can't isolate any particular common factor
If you go ahead with it, I think trying to cast some of them a little earlier than usual games might be worthwhile. A lot of people probably don't watch because games are fairly late usually for EST
