I have done this multiple times to no avail. Just to make sure, when I'm recording in tf2 at 480fps, my host_timescale should be 0.001, and my host_framerate should be 480 correct?

I'm not sure what I'm missing, but when I finish recording, stitch my images together in vdub with audio, match them, and export as avi, I get an extremely choppy video with completely broken audio.

actually go into your game and look in console by typing mat_filtertextures and see what comes up, you might have it defined twice somewhere in your cfg
