I do see where people are coming from, but you cannot compare the MG with stock shovel to make your point imo. You have to compare it with the skill stick, the standart weapon people use. Compared to that, the MG does have a downside.
Overall it is a fairly situational weapon and if someone puts in the extra time, effort to learn to use it properly and take the risk of failing ingame, then they should be rewarded when it works.
Being a medic main myself, I get that it can be frustrating to play against a good MG-soldier, but it being unfun for me shouldn't be a reason to ban a weapon.

Also, scouts still exist.

I do not wanna get into the topic of the thread or any complaints about a paywall.
One can absolutely come to the conclusion that KritzKast / Agro could have handled some things differently. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I do not mind that at all.

I just want to pick this quote up because it has been repeated in some shape or form in this thread.
I am not a direct member of KritzKast (anymore, I used to cast but I finally had to admit to myself that I was terrible at it so I simply stopped), but I am yet to hear anyone talk shit about Agro or his ego from the people that worked with me on projects where Agro is involved. Not to say those people do not exist...
I just wanted to point this out. Agro, like everyone here, has his weaknesses. But it is not true, that "everyone who works with him knows he has got a massive ego".
He, as well as anyone else on PhoenixRed, has been nothing but remarkably professional in all projects (Copenhagen Games 2018-2020, Lockdown Throwdown 1+2) that I have been involved with in recent years.

Depends on the number of teams, but games will start at 15.00 as well. We will work out a more detailed schedule on saturday evening during the Invite RO16.

Very important Updates:
EVERY TEAM HAS UNTIL FRIDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER, 20:00 CEST TO CKECK-IN TO THE TOURNAMENT.
If you do not check in, you will be replaced by another team.

. 74 teams have signed up and will be split into 3 skill groups:

- 1. 8 Newbie teams, who -for the most part- have no experience in competitive TF2 from what we have been able to gather.
They will play their own little tournament, completely independently (albeit also through the same toornament event).

They will play in 2 groups of 4. In groupstage, you will play 1 map using ETF2L rules. After groupstage, the two 2nd placed teams will play a Best-of-3 maps match for 3rd place, the two group winners will play one Best-of-3 maps match for 1st place.

- 2. 60 Open teams, who will be split into 10 groups of 6 teams each.
They will play BO1 matches in the groupstage. The winners of each group will join the Invite single-elimination knockout bracket.
The 50 teams which got knocked out in open, will be able to play a B-Tournament on sunday. Ideally we will create 5 skill groups (all 2nd placed teams, all 3rd placed teams etc....) with 2 groups of 5 teams each.
Now, we realise this is a dream that will not come true due to teams dropping out of the B-tournament on sunday, so that is a subject to change.

3. 6 Invite teams, who will be playing a BO1 maps Round Robin groupstage to determine seeding for the knockouts.
