saamScruff and the Mcgruffs has retained their carry in Moy

When I was growing up, I did a lot of community theater, but it was mostly because my mom taught voice and was always a leading lady--Annie in Annie Get Your Gun, Kate in Kiss Me Kate, even Cio-Cio-san in Madama Butterfly--so I got dragged into it. I really liked singing and dancing, but theater itself was more her thing than mine. It's kind of a trip because people in my hometown often ask if I'm still performing when I visit, but I'm way into math and science instead...
My mom and I actually got one real gig together for a summer when I was 13 or 14, and I got the chance to talk to a bunch of actors trying to make it professionally. They told me, "If you can be happy doing anything else, do it," so I took their word for it. I did spot one of them in a minor role on Orange is the New Black later on, though, so I guess he's still at it.
I think my favorite role was Little Red in Into the Woods.
Does that mean they can pick whatever server location?
The newbie mix team I'm helping got put in the eastern conference even though their location was set to central before schedules came out. Maybe they forgot it at first when re-registering or something, but then does that mean that east is default? Seems weird. My dudes have west coasters and an Ecuadorian, so ping could be really iffy.
They have the conscience to save IM. odb fucks. Try out.
I don't like sandbagging in a lot of ways, but no one should be made to feel like they have to play just to keep a division alive if they don't genuinely want to on some level. That's not sustainable. It'll burn them out. Some people like taking on a responsibility to the community, and that's great, but others are just here to have fun or just want to take a little break from trying hard. Where else can you get the TF2 team experience if you don't want to try hard or sandbag open?
Edit: where can you do that if you're not better than everyone in IM?
I've seen azazel around mixchamp a lot and was super pleasantly surprised when I first played with him. He has a really good foundation of comms and attitude already, especially compared to most other meds who haven't played esea before. He could definitely hang around mid-open+, at least well enough to learn really quickly. Give him a tryout for sure.
Don't wait so long to cut that manipulative, abusive player. You think you're doing him and your team a favor by enduring him, but you're not. No one is irreplaceable, and your energy is better spent elsewhere.
You're afraid of trying combat classes at all because you got into gaming pretty late in life and don't want to feed into the stereotypes of girls being bad. Don't be. It's easier to learn than you think, especially at your level, and the sexist assholes will think what they think no matter how bad or how good you are. Even if you do decide to play medic, it's way easier to switch to it than from it.
flatlinei guess jaguar is playing in open now because he's scrimming my newbie team with griff and pinkushin :?
To be fair, flatline, your team is just about the least suited of any of the drive teams to call themselves "newbies." Should be at least mid-open already. Boy Wolsne to pound. :K
The deal with Ebsikl is that he needs to take a closer, humbler look at his own scout play instead of blaming others or getting sour when things go wrong. If he does that, he could hang in high open.
Also,
Morinfalkinghammer is the best
I've encountered Matches only in mixes, but she'd definitely frag lowpen. She's also been really chill and a good commer. Seems like a really solid bet for an improving team!
Kooty frags. Might not stick to scout the full time, but she'll frag on just about any class.
Bejcnhow would someone go about getting their name changed from "horsefucker_2" to something more pickable?
asking for a friend
Submit an admin request about it with the name you want. The button is the question mark in the top right corner.
My stream audio often gets delayed behind the video. It's noticeable because of game sounds, but I'm not sure whether tf2 sounds are the only ones affected. The only thing I've found that fixes it is switching the audio codec from AAC to MP3 or back again and then restarting the stream. I'm not sure whether it's just the restarting that does the trick because the issue has to come up before I can test and troubleshoot. When it occurs, sounds are the better part of a second off, and the amount of delay seems to stay more or less consistent until I "fix" it.
I was hoping for some insight into what could cause that kind of desyncing, given that it doesn't always happen.
