When people here say the game is dead it's not meant to be taken literally dead. Lawbreakers still has players and you certainly wouldn't call it alive. DayZ has players and people still call it dead. The point is, 30% of our playerbase just turned out to be bots, Valve doesn't care about competitive and its community, they blatantly fucked up Pyro update and our game is overrun with bugs and shitty cosmetics that ruin fps. And so far we have ZERO reason to believe anything is going to change. I don't think calling it dead is that much of a stretch lol.

Maybe because when your scouts die pushing forward enemy is more likely to retake mid? You know, since scouts carry in this meta you don't want them to die while roamer is useless so it's ok if he risks.

If rockets did 300 damage, they would be overpowered. If it's significantly better than every other weapon in that category, it's overpowered. If the weapon elevates the class above every other, you can call it overpowered.
If Scattergun can't be overpowered, then Scout can't be overpowered.
but rockets don't do 300 damage? neither does the scattergun. the whole mechanic is risk/reward; if you aim your shots well, you do more damage (although not anywhere remotely close to 300). that's the point of a single shot mechanic. what is your point (especially with the 300 damage rockets "analogy")?
He is saying that scattergun is not the basis on which other scout weapons are decided to be overpowered or not. He is sayig the category in which a weapon is in decides that, which means that when you decide whether or not a weapon is overpowered you have to take into consideration all other weapons in it's category, not just the stock weapon. Which means a case that scattergun is overpowered could be made and argued for by some (they would argue other primary slot weapons and classes fall behind scout). He exaggurated 300 damage rockets and called them overpowered to illustrate a point that the weapon being stock doesn't make it balanced.

As long as there is a scout alive you'll get shredded before even getting to a fighting distance, not to mention stickies which are not that easy to avoid either. And closing the distance with jetpack is not viable also because of the long switch time. The only thing that changed is pyro dps and slightly more range, but the main issue is still here - pyro can't close the distance.
I'd bet it's not viable.
+ 25% damage
+ 15% movement speed
+ twice less airblast cost
- on hit: uninstalls the game
It's a bait so that pyro mains go away.
