#95 Valve launches competitive beta public group in News

In CSGO MM, people can troll the way they want, like buying pistols only, dropping the C4 in a dangerous place, whole team buying sniper rifles etc. But, at least in decent rankings, people rarely do those things because they don't want to lose their ranks.

It will be the same in TF2, in the lower ranks there will be a lot of laughable shit going on, like it happens in Silver matches in CSGO, because there will be a lot of people who have 0 experience with competitive playing, but at decent ranks people will play to win so those kind of things will become rare, even rarer than in TF2 Center because there you have nothing to lose.

I agree with lucrative.

Also, one thing that help a lot is learning to play other classes. If you get enough experience as soldier, scout and demoman, it will be easier for you to understand how they behave and use it in your favor to get away from difficult situations or to avoid those situations.

#13 I want to learn Spanish. Rosetta Stone? in Off Topic

Some more tips: change your Facebook (or even Steam) to spanish. Watch movies in english with spanish subtitle and movies in spanish with english subtitles. As someone said before, get as exposed as possible to spanish.

KidIpzWhat exactly gives you hope here sideshow? Im more worried seeing a cp_well matchmaking server :D

In CSGO you can play not in the competitive pool maps like Aztec, Italy, Assault, Office, Dust... But most people only play the maps in the pool. This will probably happen with TF2 too.

#37 Organization approaches TF2 teams for Overwatch in Off Topic
MrFahr3nheitfutureDrPloxoNobody on Froyo actually makes money off of tf2 in the long run. Only streaming. so like . . . being real, not a big downgrade from the last 8 years.
again, contract, no salary, 2 years
it doesn't matter if its something completely new for them, the situation doesn't work well in their favor
Still though, imagine how much more money they could make even just streaming Overwatch instead of TF2, which is b4nny's only source of income.

But if the game gets big and if he get to be the best in it, organizations will want to throw money at him and he will be locked into a contract with no salary.

EvrewsWhy did they turn it down

2-year-contract. If the game gets big enough and they get good enough at it, they will be locked into a shit contract for 2 years. It's a risky move for both parties, the players just don't want to risk it.
