Teapot_DougMonkeySuitAsia does not have an iM equivalent that can hang with the top euro or American teams. I'm pretty sure South America doesn't either. Getting them to the next lan world be cool, but from a competitive perspective they'll get rolled.MONSTER (South America's strongest team) proved they could hang out with the top teams in the Showmatch against XTS earlier this year. But for them to be ready to really compete at the highest levels, they'd have to spend some time to scrim against the best NA and EU teams (like iM did before i49) because there is no true competition for them in here (like in Australia).
they were struggling to beat XTS on a brazil server with pings stacked in their favour
That's why I said they would need some time to bootcamp against the best like iM did before i49.
Right now we have only 2 other teams that might take some rounds from them when they are playing with their starting line-up, and they barely scrim with this line-up. Also, the competitive TF2 in general is mostly based on DM in here, so they would need time to adjust playing against really organized teams.

This guy even started stalking a brazilian friend of mine that happens to be a girl who played in a NA lobby with him and used her mic. He is seriously fucked up.

yankeewhat's the situation with mixup? has plat still not made it yet?
Why did AYOGURL play with 5? Did something happen with Ace's PC?
PRJok, game design 101 time
what constitutes "good design" changes over time.
another game like quake will almost certainly never be popular again, because the skill gap difference between players is higher than ever and the demographic that plays fps games is spread too thin.
quake live cannot be successful without massive gameplay changes that address this. Whether or not these changes will be good of course is another matter entirely.
Quake is an old game, everybody who tries to play it nowadays tries because they heard about how classic FPS were hard. If they streamline it they will just destroy the game, nobody who never heard about it will play it now because it's easier, people with this mindset will complain about the graphics.
So, this is happening
XTS having 1 scout and 1 sniper instead of 2 scouts was a great touch.
For South American scene (and using the NBA/NFL rule about only retired players) I'd add:
Scout*: Sid, Saboya, DanielKiller, DarKside, Blumm, Lie, Pearly, flash, Killuminati
Soldier: Beck, Polaco, Pizza, thug, Beh, Travis, Compleat
Demoman**: sunwar, tig, mon0, Spartan
Medic: Folhaz, tavorracho, avian, Payne
**Skillwise I'd add two more people, rko and DK, but rko got banned for cheating and DK for DDOSing (and he was suspected of cheating too), so I guess this removes their chances
*There are some people here who used to play more sniper than scout, like DarKside and Saboya, they weren't really great scouts but were godlike as snipers.
I might add more people later when I get feedback from more people to help me.
AoshimairidescentFUZZMan, I just checked on Reflex again, and the most recent video blew my mind away.
Can't wait.
Got a link to that video? Youtube is being rather nondescript.
I think he means this one that keep playing on their official page: reflexfps.com
Do any of those guys still play?
