Congrats on getting older or whatever. Enjoy celebrating with whatever weird ritualistic sacrifice you described.
They're an endangered species.
Hopefully this diminishes shitposting (-:
If there is a question of some sort of competition, I really question it. Twitch could likely support replays in a similar fashion, but replays would lower interaction and might make it suffer in that regard, since interaction IS a large part of the twitch experience. Sure, in most E-sports events that's null and void -- and only in certain instances are replays even needed (which should be on the casting side anyway), but as a whole, the majority of income comes from interaction and ads on larger streams (spitballing on that last bit, but a reasonable assumption.)
Assuming single streamers would switch services is silly unless there was an infrastructure for interaction on par with twitch (possible in a short period, but it still remains in question). And beyond casting, which doesn't suffer from multiple platforms, since they can easily pick whatever one they want or do multiple, there isn't much value in Youtube Gaming Streams for most streamers; pending there isn't a similar infrastructure.
eeeDrPloxo from what i can tell, you pretty much play open pugs, centers and some pugmes. So, I'm not sure if you're bringing this up because you're attempting to play devil's advocate or whatever. But it seems like you have no issues playing centers at all.
1.) this needs to exist
2.) how its better than pug.me/pickup
See, what you're trying to defend is <5% of the user base.
It's definitely no small feat that dango has done, and by no means should it leave solely because another service exists. pugme is a great service for those that are normally used to play pugna/tf2mix etc but it definitely is something more exclusive. Here's my point: http://puu.sh/ilqxv/69dbdeed42.png
Compared to: http://puu.sh/ilqwe/fedc577fd3.png (which, i don't think all of them were added up either.)
Sheer numbers (even if half of all the users are actually added up). Afaik Dango doesn't have the infrastructure to support 600 people over multiple continents, nor would that be specifically simplistic (regional adding etc). But a premium service can potentially pay for a level of play equivalent to pugme (likely never invite pug level) while sorting out the rabble. That is the hope and (eventually) the result.
eeeGarbage
To clarify, being picked does not mean good in Pugme. It means you're known and the person can tolerate you, or you've played a high div before (which could be completely irrelevant now). It's simply an alternative. You're acting under the assumption that there's some asinine ranking system to playing pugs barring invite pugs. If people added up to Pugme in the numbers that were added to tf2center you'd see the same garbage all day. Exclusivity, in this instance, is solely due to the inconvenience of not being able to use your own server for the pug.

eeei asked a month ago why I'd want to play this instead of tf2pug.me and I never got a response
someone please help explain?
You won't get shit on by showstopper.
There are significantly fewer fraggers.
Do your job.
Do your job perfectly.
Then worry about that shit.

Your underarm hair is incredibly thick.
Kudos. This thread is now about Underarm hair.
x3Too bad you cant be a subscriber to TF.TV on Twitch and have the TF.TV+ advantages too... because i would sub.
Paying 10$ for both is kind of ridiculous
i understand Twitch takes 2,50$ away from TF.TV if you sub on Twitch.
Twitch and Steam can be linked; b4nny and ruwin have utilized it in the past. Since you have to sign in through steam, it could be easily done.
