Gravitys_RainbowThis is a fantastic step for TF2, but my question is how would one balance the bans?
Would there be something in place to prevent "banning out" a class? (IE banning all the Engineer's wenches)
Can't ban stock items, id assume.

Some sort of ranking system, where class based averages (in match, not general game) were taken into account (lets say i'm >50% of people on solly, but only >20% of people on scout, if i pick playing scout, i may get a less skilled team) would probably optimize the match making. Say Damage per Minute divided by deaths and capture points+assist. Medic would need a seperate rating system, but somebody could come up with that.
EG: Lansky in HRG vs vector would have 37:11 but Cyzer would have 31:19 and b4nny would have 56:19.
Less imposing numbers than the stat pages, and a simple ranking for what you're looking at. the first number indicates how effective they are in team fights, since it's damages and deaths in a simple number. The second shows generally how team oriented they are. It's not an exact answer, but it's a solid stance to base an ELO on in match instead of just MGE. Since both 1v1 dm and teamwork are necessary to create a solid team, getting numbers closer to each other would balance out teams. An average of 41:16 would be a great match up (admittedly, b4nny skews this number fairly hard, it's much closer to around 35 for the whole team), while a team of significantly higher/lower numbers would be a roll. a +/-4 deviation on either aspect is probably too far for an even match up.
Just my two cents to make this system better than lobby.
"how competitive am i in this game? you can't be competitive."
demannushould make a new pug system called fog.na

FUN
I like to play some dustbowl, bad map, but fun for dicking about. The problem is, after about an hour, or 45 minutes, i can no longer switch to my primary, and my secondary is stuck in the VR viewmodels thing.
It doesn't really affect me on other servers, but specifically on those servers.
Any ideas on what's causing this? or should i just uninstall, reinstall and put in a new config then do my monthly ritual to gaben?

Generally speaking, there's three mistakes you see pyros make, pending they know how to airblast (you know, you use the degreaser or default):
Roaming too much, this can mean chasing a spy for too long, not being near enough to your team to help fights or getting 2v1'd. Some of this is timing, knowing when you're going to have to be near the combo, knowing when you should be able to help a weak flank. (think spy-time and whether your medic is safe)
Not looking up/behind. Awareness of your surroundings is really important. Most sixes pyros know the role pyro plays for them, delaying ubers and spamming airblast on last points. This, sadly, dumbs down a very passive and defensive role. (think "where would i want to hide if i were trying to get past, or what would i do to get past)
Knowing when to airblast and when to just let it slide. Spam happens a lot in this game, and most of it is dodged with ease. Knowing when (and how, timing wise) to airblast each projectile better than just pushing everything away. In a 1v1, you lose NOTHING airblasting 4 rockets or 4 pills, (you lose 80 ammo, and get 100 from their dropped weapon), but denying the movement of your opponent is more important as it helps you get your flares/rs/shotgun in.
A good way to practice airblasting is playing dodgeball (usually maps with dbs_[name]) and a good way to practice your positioning and awareness is to just play more.
Good god, thankfully kurt has better taste in music than their dj.
vilewhat the fuck is this music video? korean trap?
always korean music
hookyBEARTATOkilling killing tf2?We've known this forever.
Serious: If it's possible to work out a private STV for matches being casted, that would be great, but it's really not beneficial to ESEA directly.
Nor is it harmful.
TF.TV is the hub for North American (and european, to an extent) tf2. If more people see a quality cast, they get more business. It's basically free advertising for them.
Goldbond.
Everywhere.
Too much.
I personally prefer the non-mentholated.
Certain people like minty balls.
Everybody knows the normal strats though.
