eXtine@ #4 any of you guys been using that? I've met those dudes for beers a couple times in Portland. Very cool people. They're working hard on nailing down their neXt model.
I've got the modmic 2.0. It's incredible. Sound quality is very close to a snowball for a lower cost and it isn't a desktop mic.
There's honestly not much of difference between the two to justify for the increase in cost (for me).
ModMics are great. You won't be disappointed. You should be getting the one with the mute button as well. You may be waiting awhile so you might want to get something else in the meantime. I used a webcam mic until mine came in.
^^
I have a Sapphire HD4890 and I get 500+ fps. I really don't think it's your GPU that's limiting you. Consider M4risa's advice and get a good heatsink so you can overclock, otherwise you'll be having to upgrade the cpu+mobo.
-EDIT- Already found a team. :D
Hello, I'm Drake.
I'm looking for a low/mid team as demo. I have played 2 seasons of HL (steel) and am backing up for UGC 6s (plat). I've done some ringing and pugs/lobbies so I'm not unfamiliar with what to do I just lack strong game sense.
I'm dedicated to getting better and want to find a team with the same commitment.
shlanerWon't the resolution change mess with your perception and aim? Might be hard to adjust at first.
It doesn't feel any different. I actually have to look around less to see things happening so it might be better. Idk.
Cheaper gpu, get an awesome heat sink, and overclock. You're going to get way more bang for your buck in terms of TF2 and streaming.
GPU doesn't really matter with TF2 or streaming. Both are CPU intensive programs. If you're going to spring money for something better do it on the cpu.
Have you tried FFSplit? It's not as nice as OBS or Xsplit but it's a good middle ground between the two as far as system resources and stream performance.
No, it's a LG Flatron L192WS. Do you have to manually set the refresh rate in launch options? I figured it would default to the refresh rate of the monitor.
So I have a two monitor setup.
1. 1680x1050 60Hz
2. 1440x900 75Hz
Is it worth using the smaller screen for TF2 for the higher refresh rate? Any advice is appreciated!
