#43 Competitive shooters? in Other Games

Not a shooter but Street Fighter if your desperate for another game.

If I had money I'd buy a fightstick and Ultra SF4 cause that shits the most exciting game to watch ever.

#5 linux? in Off Topic

Learning some of the basic commands for Linux is also much easier than I thought it would be. This and finding drivers was the main reason why I was wary of installing linux on my Laptop since I need it to be running without any issues at all times. Switching took about 4 hours to get Chrome, Steam, and an IDE up and running.

#7 resolution issues in Q/A Help

You might want to consider letting the game display at its actual aspect ratio with black bars instead of stretching the image. If it already looks bad there's no need to make it look worse by distorting the image.

#23 ctap script in Customization

A script wouldn't actually work unless your ping is 0 or constant anyway. If you actually end up jumping higher than you usually do it's because you weren't rocket jumping correctly in the first place.

Interesting read. E-sports seems really attractive to volatile investors.

#6 Streaming: Non-fluid screen, but getting 100+ fps? in Q/A Help

The effective speed your RAM is running at is 1333MHz. It isn't your RAM.

#3 What should I do? in Hardware

You can't use HDMI for your Xbox? If so use a HDMI to DVI converter. You aren't going to get sound unless you buy a headset or separate speakers though.

It's a little better today but still pretty bad.

#1 Twitch unwatchable for anyone else? in Off Topic

It takes longer than it should to load a stream and now it usually freezes and gives me a loading gif in less than a minute. It does this repeatedly. This has been happening since AGDQ happened.

Your viewing distance just has to be optimal. Look it up.

#9 -refresh launch option in Q/A Help
HallowreillyHallow-refresh and -freq work as they should. You can use it to force a different refresh rate from your desktop.

You should be able to check your actual refresh rate from your monitor's OSD.
Are you sure about this? Pretty sure Chris (or Anakin) insisted on both of them being useless.
I assume that there's an easy way to try; -refresh 60 (or -freq 60) with 120hz desktop rate.

I've tried this myself as well already. I can have my desktop @ 144Hz and launch at 60Hz and vice versa.

#4 rebinding mwheeldown in Q/A Help

mwheeldown is probably bound somewhere else in your config or inside "config.cfg".
