TwilitlordI just finished building my brother a new PC, with an AMD FX-6300. The only time you'll use them is when you get graphics drivers; install your LAN/Wifi drivers from the disk that comes with your motherboard and download the latest driver package from your card's site (don't bother with the disk that comes with your card, those drivers are generally outdated). Once you download and install those, restart your PC and the discrete card will automatically override the integrated.
This isn't what actually happens. If you have your dedicated graphics card installed and plugged into your monitor, Windows will temporarily use generic drivers to get your GPU running semi-properly.
The integrated GPU doesn't come into play at all unless you plug your monitor into your motherboard and don't use a dedicated graphics card.
