What leads you to think these things? If this is representative of the mainstream then it shows how little trust and goodwill is left in your society. I cannot imagine people thinking or behaving like that over here.
And this is coming from one of the most politically divided countries in the world ( 589 days without a government world record) . We're also well on our way to break that at the moment. But in spite of that people generally trust each-other, have goodwill and things are stable.

Yes, I've done it before. I would recommend to record at least at 1440p because 1080 shadowplay footage looks very bad on youtube.
