If you do actually use this "oculus rift view", theres a bug where the sniper rifle doesn't hide anymore when you scope in (and its been broken like that for at least a year, making me think valve just forgot its in the game)

I use a script to fix this

alias +sniperm2 "+attack2; cl_first_person_uses_world_model 0"
alias -sniperm2 "-attack2; cl_first_person_uses_world_model 1"

bind mouse2 "+sniperm2"

On the other hand, even with a custom HUD the linux version of the game works fine right now, guess this is the steamOS push.

Updating a HUD late night isn't advisable, if you downloaded yesterday make sure you update as the version I pushed yesterday had a broke main menu. Additionally the mann co store is fixed now.

Went on vacation right as the update came out so I'm just now getting to updating the HUD. Also fixed the text for some highlander thing in team select. Mann Co. Store will be fixed soon. On a side note,
I'd recommend checking out the overpass font override as it wasn't there last time I posted here.

the game doesn't give the default values for these in the console, just checked, although "blink_duration 0.2" is the default for that command

the only difference with huds between OS's is the fonts, check the option for 3d models and make sure the hud has them in the first place
