#8 Valve's Escrow, Help stop it now ! in Off Topic

Was getting an email to confirm your trade not enough?

Also I don't use an Android or iOS phone. Downloading some shady .apk would be pretty ironic in this situation.

#67 Toronto Winter LAN (Winter TLAN) December 12-13 in LAN Discussion

So, looking at the poles, UGC's Whitelist is still above (Though barely) 50%, so I'm going to stick with that.

In terms of map pool, looks like primarily staple maps with some old ones thrown in.

EDIT: I wanted to get registration set up tonight, but the platform I'm using is very unclear about what methods of handling money I can use. I sent them an email. If I don't like what they say, it's back to the PayPal method we used last time.

Also, there's likely to be a raffle, stay tune.

#58 Favourite aspect of competitive tf2? in TF2 General Discussion

The fact that we're not motivated by money. We're here because we (hopefully) want to be here. If it's not because of the game, it's because of the people we meet.

As I like to quote now, the Sloth eSports guy at GXL complimented the TF2 players there, and went on to say "I got in a fist fight at a CS LAN once."

Hey, got a quote from the venue. I'll be opening registration soon. I don't have an exact price yet, but from what I can tell now, the individual cost is going to be more, because I'm aiming to get individual PCs, and for two days. On the bright side, more time to PUG and stuff!

I would love to play in these, but I don't have a team, and unfortunately tonight I'm playing lolhl.

Are you looking specifically for feedback, or someone you can work with to remake your video?

#3 Cant see net_graph or cl_showfps in 1280x720 in Customization

Having the same problem. Tried those, but changing the values on those didn't do anything.

If I remove my HUD, I see net_graph just fine. I use yayaHUD.

#145 yayahud in Customization

Hey, so I'm having issues getting net_graph 1 to show up ever since I started using my new Asus VG248 monitor.

I was previously using a 16:10 monitor at 1440x900 and had no issues getting net_graph 1 to display, as shown here: http://puu.sh/kXVrr/a9395a222d.png

However, unless I play at 1920x1080 on this monitor, I cannot get net_graph 1 to display at all. I cannot play in 1920x1080 because my computer cannot handle full resolution, so I'm playing at 1280x720.

The only problem is at 1280x720, I cannot see net_graph 1. any suggestions on a fix?

Also, I think with the hudplayerhealth - CROSS.res, if I use that, the player model in the corner becomes visible. I can confirm that for you, but one of the extra files I use enables it for some reason.

#67 Epsilon pull out of Dreamhack in LAN Discussion

I understand the frustration of the production, and the people who were in contact to even get TF2 at Dreamhack. I would be equally as mad. I organize local TF2 LANs, and I've also been looking for opportunities to grow TF2's LAN presence here in Ontario; but then we get these situations where at the last minute, someone backs out, and it ruins the entire event. Not only for the teams involved, but for TF2's presence at the event as a whole.

If there's one thing that constantly scares me about running TF2 LANs, it's knowing that at the last minute, I could get fucked over, and that LAN, and any future LAN I try to organize is toast. Do you think if I had 6 or more people back out of TLAN at the last minute, leaving me to try and improvise a smaller tournament and event, that Hunter & Lucas (The venue) would have asked me back? Probably not.

This is a prime opportunity, and now it will be ruined by a team who chose not to get their beans organized. Consider it a very good, and sorely lost opportunity.

I sent two follow up emails to two different people. One for the venue, the other to some other peeps I'm working with.
