Got a date and stuff. Going to make a new thread specifically for the upcoming LAN in December. This thread isn't totally dead.

I never thought the spawn timers were an issue, nor the map time. Last tim this map was played in UGC, I didn't really know a lot about map exploits, so I can't comment on that.
Late night question, but also kinda important for me;
So, as some of you might remember, DanceNumber brought his monitor to GXL by plane. When he got there, the monitor would not display any picture when plugged in. He gave the monitor to me on Sunday, and said if I could get it fixed, I could keep it.
I called Asus; they gave me an RMA, and I sent it to them. They emailed me recently saying the monitor will cost $120 (Not including taxes or shipping) to repair, under the reason, "screen internal broken".
Now, I'm beginning to wonder, if it's best paying that cost to Asus and having them fix it, or if I should let them send it back to me and I get it fixed locally in Toronto. Would I be able to get it fixed for any cheaper? Regardless of cost locally, is there a decent guarantee I can get it fixed, or at least be refunded if it doesn't?
Asus has a set of terms for their out-of-warranty repair, but it's kinda dumb;
The ASUS Computer International sales & returns policy. Any OUT OF WARRANTY repair fee(s) prescribed by ASUS and accepted by the customer is non-refundable and does not guarantee that repairs can be made. If repairable, a limited 90-day warranty will apply to the repair only, excluding any form of physical damage or other customer induced damage.
The monitor is an Asus VG248QE
Finally got a response from the venue. The guy said this;
"I was fairly happy with how the event was ran last time and I'm hoping to see more."
My body is ready.
I played this game, made it through to the neutral ending. Maybe it's because I was really tired when I started it, but I didn't feel a huge emotional impact. It just became so much easier to kill people than to go through the effort and spare them.
I've played To the Moon, A Bird Story, and Valiant Hearts, and I loved those games. Maybe it's the fact that in comparison to those, Undertale isn't linear. But overall, it just didn't feel like my kind of game, so I didn't enjoy it to the full extent many others have.
Was digging through my Puush, and found these;
glsfall clothing because it's freezing in california (aka below 70..) - uniqlo's textures feel great and are really warm for how thin the material is and it's a lot of basic stuff so you can accessorize or layer really easily
definitely recommend their merino / cashmere sweaters or fleece jackets, they feel lovelyyy http://imgur.com/Z3FW94L
edit: whoa its actually 49 rn and I can't feel my extremities
You wuss, that's not cold. That's just a good, crisp day.
This reminds me a lot of Nine an Out eXtv used to have, although that was catered more towards Highlander.
It's only a good thread if we can include UGC shit talk.

Yes, the report should have been more thought out if a case wanted to be made at all. This is not to say it was a valid case to make, but you can make a lot of bad arguments sound decent if you word them properly.
That aside, however; a perma ban for a lousy report, and a lot of the minor things that have happened on TF2C is going too far.
DayNifeI think the computers are fine as is but there should be an option to bring our own monitor.
I will mention bringing monitors. I don't see them having a huge problem with it, so long as the monitors are plugged back in afterwards.
ObiI'm down anytime after December 11th.
I know I've bugged you about this, but could you keep the individual computer thing in mind when you speak with H&L (if people are willing to pay extra to have a comp for the whole day).
Also, thanks for taking the initiative to do this Hidi!
ThickneySame with anything before the 21st.
Also please please give us the option for our own PCs.
Were you guys thinking individual rentals, or BYOC? Both are workable, though having a mix of rental and BYOC could get very confusing very fast, and I'd rather not do that.
If you want a 144hz, you're going to have to bring it. (Maybe I'll bring 'mine' hehehehehehe)
Hey guys, I've started a Steam group called Toronto Fortress to make a more general and central hub to post information about LANs and possibly other TF2 community-related things happening locally.
The link to the group is here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/torontofortress
Join to follow for updates!
Obviously there's a lot of touching up to do, and it's something I'll get to...eventually.
As I stated on the Steam page, there are some definite things I want to nail down in the next few weeks, and those are:
- A simple website with info
- An event page on Universe for the upcoming LAN in December
- A logo
You probably saw LAN, and you're thinking, 'Hidi, did you say LAN? When? We keep asking you!' The answer to that is; I have emailed Hunter and Lucas asking for a weekend in December. November is going to be a little busy for me as well. They have yet to get back to me. I may go over there one of these days.
If you're wondering about Universe; it's a platform used to organize events, and you can setup an event-specific page and handle payments through it. I was suggested to use it for the next event, one, because they take a smaller cut than PayPal, and two, because Universe has a mobile app so I can have one or more people handling registration if I need to.
Specific to this event: Who's interested in going? I would like to get a rough estimate, so please let me know.
I keep all my system volumes at 100 and adjust specific programs accordingly. I usually keep Mumble the loudest of all my programs, and I set it to quiet other programs when people talk. TF2 is relatively quiet, but loud enough I can still hear things. If I listen to music, it's very quiet.
cerealeven with sound mixer it just gets adjusted automatically by different things
You may have the setting to quiet all other sounds when a "call" is happening checked. It's a dumb windows audio setting, and you should turn it off because it's really annoying.
Hi, I'm looking to play Open next season. I started off this passing season as a sub on Terror of Sub-Open (smh), and was later moved to starter.
I would like this coming season to work on main calling. It's something I've been working on in Highlander, but I'm not at a point where I can do it with confidence in 6s. I've been playing Highlander actively for 7 seasons now. My schedule has become flexible enough that I can play 6s, and that is what I want to progress in as much as I can.
EDIT: I'd also be interested in playing in the Razer Tournaments this coming week, and I'll probably need a team, if anyone needs a med. I could play on a Euro team on the weekend. I can tolerate high ping.
