One year ago these unlocks were not allowed that strengthen classes like Heavy/Engineer, so it would not have worked as well. I remember when Mini sentries got banned because Schocky started using them in 6's on certain maps for ButtonBashers back in like Season 8 or 9 or something, rather than learn to play with it then all the Prem players got tilted and pressured admin team to ban it. No doubt this may happen again, but you really take away from the game doing this, I think maybe the unpopular lesson here is to accept the metagame can change and there is more viability to run certain strategies around "off-classes" thanks to the whitlelist strengthening certain classes. I am sure teams will learn to counter us better, but we will learn to counter their counters.

For the record the top teams would have beaten us one year ago even if we ran a roamer, because you know, they're THE BEST teams with THE BEST players. If we play Crowns pre-game for their Grand Final warmup (this is an invitation to pcw us btw) they will most likely stuff us 5-0 like they have a lot of teams, whether we ran a Roamer or a Flex.

Muuki does not get carried, his job as Flex role is to replace roamer, roamers have different styles in "accepted meta" of TF2, which includes being the player to "hold flank" or "get picks" which is what he does. If he goes 13-21 or something, that's exactly what Drackk does on Crowns whilst his Scouts/Demo/Pocket are getting amazing statistics. I didn't think I needed to explain the game to a Premiership level player, but I am glad we can clear this up and move forward. :)

And best thing about Mr Epic and Uubers, is NO TEAM wanted to pick them up before start of the season now suddenly they're "Monsters". We always knew they were but people didn't like them because "they don't communicate" even though Pastniek is doing the maincall on our team and Mr Epic does not need to cal anything, I played with Russian scout Yangpie and he said very little yet our team went from shit to good in a week. :Thinking

This roster playing together first season - We played S23 with a different (LAN Dogging Polish).

Grenjabob, Me, Kissakala and Muuki played that season) played a lot together a few years ago in Highlander and in Prem, Mr Epic played with us as backup for Highpander for many years. Our inspirational leader, socalist icon Pastniek The Great joined us S23 after couple of seasons of me deceiving him into thinking my HL team was good.

Game is easy when you play with same players for a long time, people can call us Highlander mains but we know more about 6v6 than most people, that is why Flex style works.

Also note methods people think are best for playing this game may not always apply - For instance we did not have a warmup pcw, we just pubbed than did a 3v3 Heavy fist fight to train Muuki up for our epic pre-game Heavy fist fight which allowed us to decide whether to pick first or not (We did) and this gave us a tactical edge, our preparation was in the correct area as we already know how to play TF2 but we did not know how to Heavy fist fight. Remember to learn Heavy fist fighting kids, and you too can be champion.

You're right there but get downfragged.

Another important lesson, don't be swayed by downfragging, it's just TFTV, end of the day it's not important.

If you want to make money, it isn't.

If you want to play for fun because you enjoy competitiveness of organised TF2 matches, then I recommend you play.

Perks of playing include involvement in the community, but you have to play and pick your friends/teammates because you might end up playing with people who make the game unpleasant for you, so make sure you find people who have the same short term goals as you and move on when the time is right.

Also don't be afriad to do things differently, for every idiot with an opinion is an idiot with another opinion.
